Your computer already has
a game server in it.
GSP starts one, and gives you the line to send your friends. No port forwarding, no monthly rent for a box that sits idle five days a week.
That is the whole product. Everything below is how it manages to hand you that, on a home connection, in 2026.
The part nobody else says out loud
Guides tell you to forward a port on your router. For a growing share of homes that no longer works, and not because you did it wrong: internet providers ran out of addresses and now share one between many households. Your router forwards a port on an address that is not yours, and the forward leads nowhere.
GSP checks, from outside your network, whether the address it found can actually be reached. If it can, your friends connect straight to your machine and nothing sits in the middle. If it cannot, traffic goes through a relay we run, and you get an address that works anyway.
Either way you are told which one you got, and why.
What happens after you open it

Pick a game
GSP downloads the server and the right version of Java. You are not asked to install anything else — no Docker, no command line.

Press start
The console is right there, and so is the address. Copy it into a message and your evening has begun.

Change what you like
Difficulty, mode, world seed, player limit, whitelist, view distance — in the panel, not in a text file you found instructions for.

Add plugins
Search Modrinth from inside GSP. A map of your world, voice chat as you play, whatever your group asks for. It installs and loads on the next start.
What it is not
Not hosting. The server runs on your computer, on your electricity, with your world on your disk. Close GSP and the server stops — which is the point, and not something you have to remember to do.
Not a middleman for your data. The relay carries bytes between your friends and your machine and keeps none of them. The launcher counts how far people get through setting up, and nothing about who plays or what they say. That is a setting you can turn off.
It is free. All of it.
No card field, nothing to cancel, no tier you are on. If that ever changes it will be on that page first, in plain numbers, and not in a card statement.
